Breast Feeding Support Group
The group is for women who either are, or are planning to, breastfeed. Women are welcome to join the group at any time. Group sessions are facilitated by a Health Visitor from the Western Health and Social Care Trust. Women are welcome to drop in at group meetings.
When it runs
This group runs weekly on a Thursday morning from 10.00am to 12 noon. There is no official starting date for this group; at the moment it runs on a weekly drop-in system. This group is funded, therefore you are not required to pay any fees.

Breastfeeding Workshop
This workshop runs monthly on a Tuesday evening from 6.30pm – 8.30pm.
The workshop will provide you with the information and resources needed to get breastfeeding off to a good start including;
- Why is Breastfeeding better for your baby, the environment and you
- How to develop a relationship with your unborn baby
- Colostrum harvesting
- How to hold and attach your baby at the breast for optimal success
- What to expect in the first few weeks
- How do you know your baby is getting enough
Antenatal women, their partners and/or interested family members are all welcome.
